Our approach
We aim to make our public website usable with a keyboard, screen magnification and assistive technology. Our design target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a target, not a claim of independent certification or complete conformance.
Features available
- A skip link and consistent page landmarks.
- Labeled search and filter controls, visible keyboard focus and text descriptions of permit positions.
- Responsive layouts, reduced-motion support and printable guide content.
- Direct links to evidence, with key guidance available as web text rather than only in PDFs.
External government content
Official portals, forms and source documents are maintained by their respective authorities. Their accessibility may differ from this website. If a source is difficult to use, contact the issuing department for an accessible version and tell us about the affected guide.
Report an accessibility barrier
Use the contact page and describe the page and task that did not work. If you are comfortable sharing them, include your browser and assistive technology. You do not need to disclose a disability or sensitive personal information.
Ongoing improvement
We review barriers reported by users and test important research flows as the site changes. We do not promise a fixed resolution time; the scope of the issue and dependency on outside systems can affect a remedy.
